How it works

How we photograph team headshots in Lancashire

We come to you. Solicitors on Preston’s Winckley Square, estate agents in Lytham, accountants on the business parks at Whitehills and Hillhouse, the dental practices and the care homes and the engineering firms along the A6. All we need is a room about three metres by four, a plug socket and twenty minutes to set up. A meeting room with the blinds down is ideal. We’ll work in a stairwell or a canteen if that’s all there is.

You send us a list of names in the order you want them, and we work through it. Each person gets two or three minutes: a quick word about where to look, a few frames, and a look at the back of the camera so they can say yes to one. People who hate having their photo taken are usually done before they’ve had time to worry about it. A team of twenty takes about an hour and a half.

Backgrounds come down to what you’re using the photos for. Plain white or light grey for a website team page, so new starters can be added next year and match. A darker grey or a soft colour for LinkedIn, where a bit of depth helps. Or your own office, out of focus behind them, if you want the photos to look like your building. We bring the kit for all three and you choose on the day. If you already have headshots and need new starters to match them, send us one and we’ll copy the setup.

Same-day delivery

Standard delivery is a sneak peek within 48 hours and the full private gallery within 6 weeks, usually a lot quicker for a headshot session. Each person picks their favourite, or you pick for them, and we retouch the chosen ones. If you’re launching a website or your new starter needs a LinkedIn photo today, ask for same-day delivery: we edit on a laptop before we leave and send the selected images over the same afternoon.

Every headshot comes with a commercial licence for your website, social profiles, press, bids and tenders, and the staff can use their own on LinkedIn for as long as they like. We cover Blackpool, Preston, Lancaster, Blackburn, Burnley, the Ribble Valley and the rest of Lancashire. Travel is free within 10 miles of Poulton-le-Fylde and 50p a mile after that.

Most headshots live on a screen, but if you want a framed set of the partners for reception, or a print for someone retiring, we can add prints to the order. Our print packs are 5, 10 or 25, from £69 for 5, as an optional add-on. More about our prints.

How do we book?

Check your date, choose a package and pay a £100 deposit online. We hold a date for 7 days while you decide.

Do you charge for travel?

Travel within 10 miles of our base (FY6) is free. After that it’s 50p a mile, and we travel up to 60 miles.

Are you insured?

Yes. We hold public liability insurance and carry backup cameras and cards. Venues that ask for a certificate get one.

How much room do you need?

A space about three metres by four, with a plug socket. A meeting room is perfect. We can work in a corridor or a corner of an open-plan office if we have to; we just ask people to keep their voices down near it.

What should people wear?

Whatever they’d wear to meet a client. Plain colours photograph better than fine stripes or big logos. We’re happy to send a few tips to forward to the team the week before.

Can you match headshots we already have?

Usually, yes. Send us one of the existing photos and we’ll set up the same background, lighting and crop so the new starters sit alongside the rest without looking like they were taken somewhere else.

Do you do individual headshots?

Yes. If you’re self-employed or just need one for yourself, we can do it at your workplace or outdoors on the Fylde coast. Ask us for a quote.
